Press Reviews of Peter Styles' Performances

"Peter is a warm-hearted guy who really knows how to find the core feeling in his audience and help make that part of the show." (Quoted from the "Welcome to to-nite" article below)

Here is another great review of Peter Styles activities in the Music Business in and around Toronto. His way: harmony and humour. Special to The Globe and Mail, by JOSEY VOGELS. Published May 7, 2005.

The following is an excerpt from Toronto Life Magazine article on Toronto nightlife, issued August 2003, text by Ryan Bigge:

Peter Styles singing Karaoke

"Cheesy in a good way, M.C. Peter Styles makes bad jokes about his ex-wife, flirts shamelessly, and holds aloft a sparkly applause sign when a virgin crooner (emboldened by cheap beer) requires moral support. Styles always has the last word and the last song, generally around 2:00 am."

This is an excerpt of an article about Peter Styles' Karaoke show, as used to be found on the Karaoke at the Gladstone web page.

The indomitable Peter Styles hosts award winning Karaoke weekly in the Gladstone's Melody Bar on Thursdays thru Saturday evenings. Karaoke performers can choose from a selection 5,000 songs. So whether you're into Neil Diamond, Bon Jovi, country music, rock, calypso, or disco ….chances are Peter's got your song. The Melody Bar karaoke crowd is a diverse blend of the young, artsy Queen Street West crowd and regular patrons.

Peter Styles with The Uptown Swing Band

Peter Styles thrilled the crowd, when he appeared as the Featured Vocalist with Russell Noseworthy and The Uptown Swing Band, at The Gladstone Hotel Ballroom, on May 8, 2005.

Here is what Peter has to say about the band: Soundclip of ad for band

"We have put together a great program of Rat Pack Era swing tunes that is sure to be a delight to all who love Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and others of the time. No clones here, just myself and 2 members of the band (Elena and Mark) doing the songs we love to do, with the 9 piece Uptown Swing Band. Dancing, as always, is encouraged."
